2023 Winter Beer Festival tasting notes

Adnams – Old Ale (4.1%) – flavours of red fruit, roasted grains and a hint of caramel.

Titanic – Plum Porter (4.9%) – dark and strong, brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring.

Green Jack –  Red Herring (smoked ale) (5%) – rich, red fruity ale, brewed with oak and beech smoked malts giving a subtle smokey finish.

Grain – Slate Porter (6%) – smooth, rich, creamy & complex.

Beeston –  Squirrels nuts mild (3.5%) – smooth, dark and tasty award winning mild ale.

Wolf – Battle of Britain (3.9%)- traditional copper coloured ale.

Grain – Winter Ash (5%) – a rich red ruby beer, brewed with Belgium candy for a caramel sweetness.

Woodforde’s – Wherry (3.8%) – rich, amber ale with floral aromas.

Woodforde’s – Volt (4.5%) – pale gold IPA, light malt, fruity & hoppy.

Lister’s – Pride of Sussex (4.2%) – classic American pale ale with a classic cascade finish.

Whin Hill Cider (Wells next Sea) 500ml bottles – made with Stanhoe apples, no added water, flavourings or sweeteners.
