Poems and a Pint Night
May 14 @ 8:00 pm
Poems and a Pint meets on the second Monday of every month and is a friendly environment for enthusiasts of poetry to indulge themselves. Those attending are encouraged to find a poem or two related to the theme to read out. We spend some time on the theme, listening to the poems and talking about them, but always leave time to read out poems people have brought that they like or want to discuss. You are also welcome to just come and listen. Of course, if you write your own poetry, we would love to hear it whether or not it connects to our theme.
January – Doors, thresholds and passages
Bring along any poems you like to read. We follow a theme for our first half and then have general reading of any poems those attending bring in the second half after we refill our glasses. Friendly discussion of poetry, poems, and poets throughout!
